about
I wrote this song right at the end of 2020 and it speaks to the year 2021, it is about the desire to sing to the day everyday despite the circumstances we were facing, despite the plans that were being postponed, despite the unexpected. At its core it is a reminder that no matter the plans we make, the peak of our year will likely come as a surprise or at least that has been my experience. For production we used part of a demo track I recorded at home with a version recorded in the studio to bring forth that element of surprise and a combination between spontaneity and planning our every move.
